GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Parade Start/Float Preparation area: 15 Jane Street, Downtown Newcastle

  • All participants are to be at 15 Jane Streets NO LATER than 11:30 AM, to prepare their floats and organize their groups.

  • If you have NOT registered online, make sure you have your registration form with you when you get to the gate or one can be picked up at the gate.

RULES

  • Throwing of candy will be prohibited due to safety and liability reasons.  All treats must be given out by hand.

  • Each participating business is permitted one complimentary company vehicle entry, each additional car will be subject to a $50 charge.

PRIZES

Winners will receive gift certificate(s) valued at $100 total from local downtown merchants.

  • Best Band - $100 gift certificate

  • Best Old Car - $100 gift certificate

  • Best Kids Costume - $100 gift certificate

  • People’s Choice Award - $100 gift certificate

Canada Day Parade Route 2026

  • Start from 15 Jane St.

  • Left onto Jane St.

  • Right onto Newcastle Blvd.

  • Left (at RBC) onto Pleasant St

  • Travel the full length of Pleasant St.

  • Left onto Hennessy St.

  • End at Miramichi Mall
